The Big Ascot Food & Wine Festival offers a taste sensation alongside two days of fantastic late summer Flat racing. Peruse a range of food stalls, get involved with BBQ displays and marvel at live-cooking demos with Michelin-starred chefs. Live music and plenty of tasty food and drink options make this a memorable social event for all to enjoy!
Friday heralds the beginning of this enthralling equestrian affair with a selection of races that have been known to unearth talents and unveil future stars of the racing world. The day progresses with a combination of exciting and competitive handicaps, as well as the much-loved Lady Amateur Jockeys Handicap Stakes, a race showcasing the very best female amateur jockeys around. You simply shouldn't miss it.
On Saturday, get set to witness seven thrilling contests including a valuable Heritage Handicap run over a mile and a half, which sees the Classic generation of three-year-olds vie for a huge prize. It has provided some memorable moments over the years, none more so than in 2021, when it was won by Chalk Stream, owned by Queen Elizabeth II - her final winner at Ascot. This is a raceday that promises exhilarating action from start to finish.

From London and the North: M4 Junction 6 onto the A332 Windsor by-pass and follow the signs to Ascot. From the West: M4 Junction 10 to the A329(M) signed to Bracknell and follow the signs to Ascot. From the South and East: M3 Junction 3 onto the A332 signed to Bracknell and follow the signs to Ascot. From the Midlands: M40 southbound, Junction 4. Take the A404 towards the M4 (Junction 8/9). On the M4 head towards Heathrow / London. Leave M4 at Junction 6 and follow A332Windsor by-pass to Ascot. All visitors are advised to arrive as early as possible to avoid delays.
South Western Railways runs a frequent service to Ascot from both Reading and London Waterloo. The average journey time is 27 minutes from Reading and 52 minutes from Waterloo. Regular services also run from Guildford. The railway station is a seven-minute walk from the racecourse.
Please note that Ascot is not within the London Oyster Card Zone.
