You loved the film so now why not visit one of the Royal Borough locations used in the movie? It is no surprise that this area is frequently used by filmmakers given its proximity to London. Bray Film Studios is located in the borough and both Pinewood and Shepperton Studios are just 20 minutes away.
If you are on this page because you want to get permission to film in the Royal Borough, you can visit our filming page here.
Bray – located between Windsor and Maidenhead – is the home of the iconic Bray Film Studios, made famous in the 1950s and 1960s by the Hammer House of Horror Productions including Dracula. In 1979 it was where Alien was made. In 2021, planning permission was granted for a major expansion of Bray Film Studios giving it the best possible chance of attracting more high-profile film and TV productions. Bray Film Studios has been revived by the current owners, with the refurbishment of the two main stages; the construction of new stages, offices and workshops, as well as the ongoing faithful restoration of Down Place.
