Food & Drink in the Windsor area
Dining out in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is a highly rated and most palatable experience.
There's a wide range of restaurants, pubs, bars and cafes to choose from that suits all tastes and budgets.
Enjoy a morning relaxing over a cooked or continental breakfast or brunch at a family-friendly cafe.
Celebrate a special occasion by booking a fine dining restaurant.
Indulge in a traditional (or not-so-traditional!) Afternoon Tea at one of our restaurants or hotels. Our Afternoon Tea page has some great location ideas!
Don’t forget that in addition to familiar restaurant names we have a tantalising range of independent eateries and hotel restaurants!
Windsor and Eton are crammed with stylish cafes, continental restaurants, historic pubs, wine bars, family-friendly restaurants, hotels with fine dining and an amazing nightlife scene.
Every taste is catered for, from Thai to Moroccan, South American to Asian and French to Indian.
Maidenhead's town centre offers an excellent choice of pizza, pasta, pubs and wine bars.
There's riverside dining by the Thames and fine dining at the local hotels.
The nearby village of Bray is a haven for foodies as it is home to the three Michelin-starred Waterside Inn (Alain Roux) and Fat Duck (Heston Blumenthal) plus Caldesi in Campagna (Giancarlo Caldesi).
Maidenhead and Ascot host regular Farmers' Markets and food markets. There's nothing better on a warm, sunny day than to buy some fresh produce from the local producers and head off for a lazy picnic in the park.
If you enjoy eating al fresco, our outdoor dining page highlights venues with some great gardens and outdoor areas, covered terraces and dining pods!
Take a look at our Gifts and Experiences Voucher page too; we have some wonderful dining packages which make perfect presents for loved ones.
Food Hygiene Rating System
Next time you're dining out or having a takeaway you'll be able to see the hygiene ratings of your local eatery – from fine restaurants to kebab vans – thanks to the Food Hygiene Rating System.
Places that prepare and serve food are now awarded up to five stars following a food hygiene inspection. Visit the website to check a rating online.
