Emerging from the former site of The Royal Oak in Paley Street, The Braywood is a modern, architectural restaurant and destination cocktail bar, minutes from Bray, Maidenhead and Windsor. Opened in November 2024, its accomplished food and understated style is already attracting culinary attention.

A modern log fire offers the warmest of welcomes as guests arrive, and then the cocktail bar awaits – the ideal spot to enjoy an aperitif, and browse the menu before dining, or simply to while away an elegant afternoon or evening. Guests can expect both classic and contemporary cocktails at the bar, including house serves such as 'Wood & Smoke' and 'Fig on the Rocks'. Floor to ceiling windows showcase the enclosed bar terrace – likely to be hugely popular in the summer months.

The restaurant, seating 70 people, feels both intimate and spacious, as natural daylight floods through picture windows onto cosy banquette seating.  Those same picture windows cast views onto a separate dining terrace, offering a tantalising glimpse of summer memories.

The restaurant is backdrop to an ethos of excellence, with a polished front of house team, expertly guided by General Manager Thomas Gammella (winner of the 2022 Gold Service Scholarship), ensuring an impeccable and personalized experience for every guest.

The Braywood's fine dining seasonal menus

In the kitchen, Head Chef Sam Brennan crafts exquisite seasonal menus showcasing the finest British produce. Expect to savour dishes such as Orkney scallops with black pudding, Barbecued monkfish with salt-baked celeriac, and Honey millefeuille with fig, honey parfait, and fresh honeycomb. The à la carte menu also features daily specials, such as Turbot with Champagne sauce and Glazed beef cheek, alongside a classic Sunday Roast.

The Braywood's commitment to an exceptional dining experience extends beyond the kitchen. An extensive 600-bin international wine list boasts a diverse selection of both classic regions and exciting new discoveries, with over 20 wines available by the glass.
