The first sight of Coworth Park’s 240-acre grounds is one that stays with you long after you leave. A beautiful wildflower meadow, sunken garden and Lime Grove offer freedom to roam, romp and rollick with country pursuits including horse-riding, croquet and even polo, on professional polo grounds.

Rooms and suites can be found in the grand Georgian Mansion House or dotted across the grounds, where a cluster of restored stables and cottages pay homage to a cherished equestrian past. Each is rich in country house charm, yet blended seamlessly with a modern and fresh aesthetic. Throw open your windows and breathe in the fresh country air.

For dining, visionary chef Adam Smith leads the culinary team including Woven by Adam Smith, with its Michelin star and AA 5 rosettes, where a modern twist on tradition showcases the best of local British ingredients. In the Drawing Room, the award-winning afternoon tea is a perfect way to indulge in fluffy scones and exquisite pastries, and far-reaching views of the meadow make this the perfect backdrop from our terrace. The Barn is a favourite for its relaxed, rustic atmosphere and seasonal menus, whether that’s inside our cosy setting or out on our covered terrace.

The beautiful spa nestled in the grounds is an oasis of calm overlooking the wildflower meadow and polo fields, with The Spatisserie serving light bites and drinks. Eight treatment rooms, a relaxation room, state-of-the-art gym and atmospheric indoor pool make it a lovely place to while away an hour, an afternoon or a whole day.

North Lodge at Coworth Park

A private gatehouse cottage has been unveiled on the Coworth Park estate - the Dorchester Collection’s Michelin-starred country house hotel and spa near Ascot. Beautifully restored to offer three bedrooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen and an idyllic country garden, the standalone cottage is located on the outskirts of the 240-acre grounds. Guests have their own private garden with an outdoor dining area and also have full access to the estate facilities including spa, equestrian centre, and various dining options. A magical winter's tale: Christmas and New Year at Coworth Park

Experience the enchanting beauty of a traditional English Christmas at Coworth Park, where the charm of the season truly comes alive. Less than an hour from London, Dorchester Collection’s country house hotel and spa will be celebrating in true Coworth Park style, with a three-night stay, magnificent dining, games for all the family, and an abundance of festivities that promise a Christmas to remember.

Combining the frost-kissed fields, the twinkling lights, the glow of crackling fires, and the embrace of warm holiday cheer, Christmas stays at Coworth Park embody the season’s heartfelt joy. Starting on November 22 with the annual unveiling of the breath-taking Christmas decorations, guests will be welcomed into a winter wonderland where clocks stop, comfort reigns, and the only important decisions on offer are whether or not to accept another warm mince pie.

Once the decorations are up, dining at Coworth Park transforms. Special menus arrive, including a uniquely festive afternoon tea in The Drawing Room, while The Barn becomes a mountain lodge serving mulled wine and hot chocolate creating the hotel’s own version of a Nordic retreat. In addition, a seasonal wine dinner will be hosted at Woven by Adam Smith on Thursday, December 12. In collaboration with Antinori, this evening will feature a carefully crafted festive menu, perfectly paired with fine wines.

The fun starts in earnest on Christmas Eve with the fabulous Christmas House Party. Fairy lights will guide guests into a woodland scene where winter has cast its spell over everything in sight. Here awaits a Festive Champagne Afternoon Tea, a special children’s hideaway for story-time and Christmas card making, and family board games in the Garden Room. And then, after a three-course dinner at Woven by Adam Smith or The Barn, optional transfers will carry guests to Holy Trinity Sunningdale for the midnight service followed by hot drinks in the Drawing Room before Christmas morning arrives.

After throwing open the curtains to Christmas Day’s beautiful wintery view, guests might bump into Father Christmas over a glass of Champagne before settling down to a four-course lunch at The Barn or a five-course lunch at Woven by Adam Smith. Those with enough stamina to not be taking a well-deserved afternoon nap can then watch His Majesty the King’s Christmas broadcast in the Garden Room before making their way to the Mansion House for a buffet-style dinner and live entertainment from 7pm.

BOXING DAY

Boxing Day focuses on rest and relaxation, but still served with plenty of food. After a leisurely brunch and time to breathe in the fresh country air, cream tea will be served to the soundtrack of a harpist and a three-course dinner awaits at Woven by Adam Smith or in The Barn. Afterwards, guests can relax under the starry night sky, settle in front of a crackling fire in The Drawing Room or retreat to the cosy comfort of their own suite.

NEW YEAR

The celebrations ring out again on December 31, when New Year’s Eve serves up a Champagne Afternoon Tea and gala dinner. Live entertainment in the Mansion House carries the merriment into the early hours, culminating in a firework display while glasses are raised to welcome 2025. New Year’s Day unfolds with leisurely grace, wonderful food and time spent in the estate grounds before a final evening of delight rounds off the season in true Coworth Park style.

For the ultimate exclusive experience, guests can book the North Lodge or the Dower House, Coworth Park’s two standalone private Signature Suites. Guests of either property have private gardens, three spacious bedrooms, a lobby, dining room and kitchen where they can cook for themselves or have a dedicated chef to cater for them. North Lodge and the Dower House are both available to book for up to six guests.

The three-night Christmas at Coworth Park is available from December 24-27, with rates starting at £4,770.00 for a Stable Superior Room based on double occupancy for a fully inclusive Christmas package. Two-night packages over New Year (from December 31) start at £2,980.00 for a Stable Superior Room based on double occupancy.
