About

Short Lets with Pets

We offer five beautiful self-contained holiday cottages, ideal for family holidays. Or if you are in need of hassle-free short-term accommodation because you are between house moves or having major renovations done, look no further... And we are pet friendly too.

Here at Sheephouse Manor we offer stress-free stays in our five cosy cottages and three-bed West Wing apartment.

For best rates please call 01628 776902 or book directly on our website

Our well-equipped cottages are set in the grounds of the 16th-century manor house and surrounded by two acres of beautiful tranquil gardens, lake views, chickens and a children’s play paddock.

Dogs, cats and other pets welcome for small extra fee. We have a dedicated dog run and can tell you about the many beautiful walks nearby.

Each cottage and West Wing has a private dog escape-proof enclosed patio or garden area.

We offer short to medium term lets from two weeks to six months for families and corporate guests alike. Cottages sleep between two and five people and the West Wing annex attached to the manor house comfortably sleeps six.

Included in the price are all utilities, Wi-Fi, off-street parking, bed linen and towels and use of pool and BBQ. With on-site laundry facilities available, all you need to bring with you are your clothes, food and something chilled to drink.

Although we are very fortunate to be situated in a beautiful rural location, we are close to the commercial centres of Maidenhead, Slough, Reading and Bracknell and have easy access to the M4, M25 and M40. Nearby attractions include Legoland, Windsor Castle, Ascot Racecourse, Henley upon Thames, Oxford and, for walkers, the Thames Path and Cliveden House. Central London is only 30 minutes by train. Surrounded by award-winning restaurants such as the Fat Duck, The Waterside Inn and the Hand and Flowers, there are also a host of good value and dog-friendly pubs in the nearby pretty villages of Cookham, Bray and Marlow.

Sheephouse Cottages for families

We have an outdoor swimming pool, for all guests to enjoy in summer.

Families with young children will enjoy spotting the birds and wildlife at Sheephouse Manor. We have two fabulous acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside with an abundance of wildlife to be watched and enjoyed. In addition to our own chickens, you’ll see many birds, insects, bees and butterflies around the pond. Our beautiful gardens are filled with fruit bushes, herb plants and many different trees including a rare mulberry which is over 400 years old; guests are welcome to pick and enjoy its berries. Young guests will also enjoy the zip wire and trampoline in the paddock.

Check out our Facebook page and discover all the various animals that have come to stay with us.  All pets are welcome to stay with us, for a small extra fee.

Professionally run by Caroline and her family since 1988, we offer a caring and flexible solution to your accommodation needs. Our cottages offer you the convenience of a hotel in the privacy and comfort of a home. If you are between properties, having renovations done, relocating to Maidenhead or just booking a holiday we are happy to help you.

For the best rates for stays of 2 weeks or more, please book directly on our website www.sheephousemanor.co.uk. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is payable at time of booking and the balance payable 28 days before arrival. Full terms and conditions on our website www.sheephousemanor.co.uk.
