James Delarre and Saul Rose promise audiences a warm, joyful and very personal evening of exquisitely played traditional folk tunes and songs.

Fiddle player James Delarre, is a founding member of the critically acclaimed bands Topette!, Mawkin and Mawkin:Causley. He is in demand within the traditional English folk scene and beyond. As a fiddle player he is in high demand and has worked with some of the country’s top musicians and groups including Eliza Carthy, Bombay Bicycle Club and more. He has made appearances with Bellowhead and Jools Holland as well as working as a musician on TV and film. His filmography includes Peaky Blinders, Far from the Madding Crowd, Tulip Fever and My Cousin Rachel to name a few.

Saul Rose is a renowned English folk melodeon player and singer. He is a long-time member of Waterson:Carthy and also formed a duo with Eliza Carthy. Saul has played on numerous albums, including Jackie Oates’ Hyperboreans and soundtracks for the films Morris – A Life With Bells On and Far From The Madding Crowd. He has been nominated for the Musician of The Year award at the BBC Folk Awards.

James and Saul have been making music together since they met at Sidmouth Folk Festival almost 20 years ago. Their new album title Kith & Kin is a nod towards their enduring friendship and expanding families. It is a collection of 9 favourite tunes and songs from their live set. The duo intertwine seamlessly, dancing around the tunes between the notes, finding space and air, and breathing fresh life and energy into the music.
