Award-winning singer songwriter performs live
Join the self-crowned ‘Queen of Oklahoma’ with her full band for a hotbed of good music. Carter Sampson is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Wednesday 12 March at 8pm. Tickets are £16.
Born and raised in the central state, Carter Sampson writes relatable and honest songs about family, love, life and historical characters. She’s released six albums with her seventh in 2025. Her last album Gold spent many months on the Americana Music Charts.
Carter won first place in the Chris Austin Songwriting contest at Merlefest, NC. She has performed at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest and the Lincoln Center in NYC as a top finalist in their respective songwriting contests.
She tours nationally and internationally playing both solo and with her trio and band. She is blessed by a musical family legacy that includes talents like Roy Orbison. Her journey as a naturally independent, free-spirited musician has seemed almost predestined at times. At age 15 she began experimenting with sound as a way to pass the time. Now her creativity has matured into the dedicated and passionate performance that makes her a favourite female vocalist.
The line up includes: Joe Coombes (electric and acoustic guitars), Jamie Dawson (drums), and Scott Warman (electric and stand-up bass).
