Children get creative in summer Activity Weeks at Norden Farm

Children will be able to take part in a variety of creative courses this summer. Norden Farm Centre for the Arts are running three activity weeks across the school holidays.

Circus Week is suitable for ages 7 – 13 years and runs from Tuesday 30 July – Friday 2 August 10am – 4pm. Places are £220 | £180 for Advantage Card holders. The course is led by And Circus who inspire young people through circus. The youth circus is run by a team of experienced circus practitioners. They teach circus in an engaging and simple way, no matter what your skill level or ability is. Their aim is to promote inclusiveness and build self esteem. Participants can learn to walk on stilts, ride a unicycle, walk the tightrope and perform on a trapeze!

Art Week is led by Art Adventure and is suitable for ages 8 – 11 years. It runs from Tuesday 6 August – Friday 9 August between 11am – 4pm. Places are £160 | £145 for Advantage Card holders. Combine art, movement and play in a stimulating and creative week of fun. There will be a sensational exhibition at the end of the week.

Make a play in 4 days in Theatre Week. Suitable for ages 8 – 14 years it runs from Tuesday 13 August – Friday 16 August 10am – 4pm. Places are £160 | £145 for Advantage Card holders. Dive into the world of theatre, writing, directing and star in a brand new play.

It is led by Sideways Drama who support every individual with all of the unique strengths and qualities they have. Young people can learn and develop new skills and encourage their creativity to show, grow and flourish.

For anyone wanting to extend the fun, there are film screenings every day after courses have finished, from approximately 4.15pm – 5.30pm. Tickets for family films are £9 | £7 under 16s | Family & Friends (4 people) £28.

There is also the option to order lunch from the café bar. The lunchtime menu is £7.50 or a picnic bag is £5.
