Any queue for entry to Windsor Castle makes its way down St Alban’s Street which is a residential area of the town.
It has been brought to our attention by Royal Collection Trust that residents are being affected by tour guides who aren’t using whisper devices, shouting directions and history information loudly outside their properties, and even using loudspeakers in some cases, to address their groups.
Please could you remind your groups and their leaders to be conscious of unnecessary levels of noise which may disturb residents.
St Alban’s Street is also suffering with increasing levels of litter being dropped and left behind by visitors who are using the road before visiting the Castle. Please could group leaders ensure that their groups are directed to hold onto any litter and dispose of it in bins on the street or in the facilities provided once inside the Castle.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
